Sanctum and Mago has now arrived to chicago. tomorrow is the first date for a concert. It’s the Cornerstone Festival that’s first up. Check out the live dates for the rest of the show. We’re sorry that we haven’t updated this site so often as we wished. But for those of you that have the opportunity to stop by at any of the concerts.

First, we apologize for the silence on this site. but as we use to say, there is a lot of things to do and we only have 24 h a day/person. The good news is that we make music and art that you might find interesting. On top of that crescens collective celebrate there 10th anniversary this summer. It’s going to bring some audiovisual pleasure to you. We also planing a tour in the US this summer. We’re going to post more details soon here on this site.

mod_dog

everything begins with a cheap plastic toy from a hamburger chain. a barking and singing and blinking dog that wasn’t too much fun. but let’s see if it is possible to make it last a litatle bit longer and to be a little bit more interesting… let’s modify it - custom-made fun.

the result: mod_dog by jan carleklev. explores what can be done in the extraordinary sonic world of old electronic junk. the concept: transformation of objects and ideas where intention and structure is important but it all arises from chaos and disorder. never forget the music - pulsating, rough and fun.

mod_dog has performed at the piksel festival in bergen/ norway and at fylkingen in stockholm/ sweden. And on May the 9th mod_dog will be performed at the MADE-Festival

Here is a podcast with a liverecording of Sanctum. It was recorded during a show in Jönköping, Sweden somewhere 1998-2000. The song is “Too Close” and is taken from the album “Lupus in fabula”. We will try to post stuff like this every now and then as podcasts. Enjoy!

A re:konstrukt improvisation

This is a old video of an re:konstrukt improvisation in the studio with various live footage clips. It was published here at the Crescens Collective website a while ago so some of you might have seen it before. However this is hopefully also the new beginning of many more video releases known as podcasts to come from the Crescens Collective from here on. We’re very much looking forward to experiment with this new technology and we hope you are with us here! Don’t hesitate to send us comments, ideas or suggestions about what you would like to see and hear. The possibilities are endless…

Website update

Welcome to Crescens Collective new and improved website. There are still some small things we need to fix before everything is up and running in this new costume. We have a completely new backend tool to help us give you all a much better experience visiting our website and this also features a much better spam protection than we had before (finally!).

Other things too look forward to is podcasting which is coming up soon! Another cool new feature is that it’s not only possible to subscribe to news through RSS, it’s now also possible to subscribe to our calendar service so that all of our upcoming live performances will go directly into your calendar! The shop is under huge maintenance so if you have some desperate urge to buy something from us right away, drop us a mail!

Arnhem - Paris

What a lovely weekend! What an audience! What a great job of the two promoters! Thank you very much Esther, Vincent and your crews for both organising amazing evenings.

Our weekend started in Arnhem where Esther and Remco hosted us and made sure we wouldn’t miss a thing. The venue “The Stage” was perfect, the evening never lost its good atmosphere and we pulled of a sanctum show better then ever. Great to meet you all. Thanks Erik, Nathalie and Störtebecker. The youngst Sanctum fan wants especially to thank for the miffy cookies that turned out to be the best toy ever.

It was awfully early Saturday morning that we started our journey to Paris to meet Vincent who had organized our show. We played at the amazing venue “Les Instants Chavirés” together with Kom-Intern from Nice. A tough day with 35 degrees outside and probably 45 degrees on stage. But a royal french dinner ensured our strengh and both Mago and Sanctum were up for yet another good show. The shows and video projections were again very well received by the audience who had refused to get drawn into the evil world of soccer. We even got our share of scoocer-celebration when we tried to get to our hotel while half of paris was out on the streets.

We made a lot of new friends that weekend that we hope to see again soon. I especially hope to return to Paris soon because I couldn’t get a tour of the ICRAM on monday morning. At least I was able to touch the holy ground (see gallery section).

Sanctum

Sanctum has reloaded and a new era is in the making. the band has started working on a follow up album to “Let’s Eat” and two performances are scheduled this summer.

Sanctum will first be visiting “The Stage” in Arnhem, Netherlands on June, 30th.
The day after Sanctum will go to Paris, France and perform at the venue “Les Instants Chavirés”.
