everything begins with a cheap plastic toy from a hamburger chain. a barking and singing and blinking dog that wasn’t too much fun. but let’s see if it is possible to make it last a litatle bit longer and to be a little bit more interesting… let’s modify it - custom-made fun.

the result: mod_dog by jan carleklev. explores what can be done in the extraordinary sonic world of old electronic junk. the concept: transformation of objects and ideas where intention and structure is important but it all arises from chaos and disorder. never forget the music - pulsating, rough and fun.

mod_dog has performed at the piksel festival in bergen/ norway and at fylkingen in stockholm/ sweden. And on May the 9th mod_dog will be performed at the MADE-Festival

I put some pictures up from my performance and our workshop at the Full Pull Festival in Malmö. I showed my instrument and controller that i had built from junk and software i had made with max/msp.
